In the introduction explain what parts of the targeted work you intend to discuss. Aim to identify a few important areas and go over them one by one in the main body.

In the main body, arrange your points logically so that transition from one to the next happens smoothly. For each point you make, identify the part of the text you mention with a citation and give one or two examples or quotes to prove your point.

Do not waste words reciting the story or text, and do notget lost or stray off at a tangent. Keep focus and use words wisely to make the points you set out in the introduction.

If your points form a coherent matrix then it will be quite a simple task to bring them together to form your conclusion.
