Foreign Text

Chinese Pin Yin
Korean Romanisation
Japanese Romaji

When writing foreign text in English it is the rule to follow the particular style of transliteration that has been accepted by governments and scholars. Each country has its own system but the average citizen may be unaware. The scholar, however, has to learn it and use it when writing.

For example:

Chinese : Pin Yin is the method of spelling for writing Chinese words in English

Korean: The Revised Romanization of Korean 2000 is used to write Korean words in English

Japanese: The Revised Hepburn System of Romanization - Romaji - is used to write Japanese words in English

* Whatever the language, be sure to use the universally accepted system.
